Boston & Skegness CLP welcome their 2017 Parliamentary Candidate Paul Kenny

Paul’s letter to the electorate of Boston and Skegness Constituency

I’m standing in this General Election for Boston and Skegness because I believe it is important that we get a Brexit deal that is right for the people of this constituency. A Tory Brexit will hurt our community, only Labour will deliver a Brexit that will protect the many. Leaving the EU will mean an end to free movement of labour, but I do believe we need to give a guarantee to all EU citizens who are working hard within Boston & Skegness to let them remain,  their futures should not be used as political toys by other parties.

I also wish to see proper controls on over-occupied Houses in Multiple Occupation, restrictions in the number of off-licences and a properly enforceable drinking ban.

It is essential that we fund our hospitals and schools and make sure we have proper recruitment and retention policies to keep our services local to our towns. This election is about standing up for the people and delivering policies that work for our local communities.

I do not intend to go to Parliament to forget the important issues that affect our towns, so we need to invest more money in Pilgrim Hospital, keep Skegness and District General Hospital open.  We need to stop starving our schools, roads and other public services of the resources they desperately need, including a properly funded social care system for our elderly.

I will stand up and campaign every day for all these important services and for all who live in our community.

Action speaks louder than words. Vote Paul Kenny
